At The Center

We have a natural tendency to place ourselves at the center of our universe, but the righteousness has a specific aim: to remove ourselves from that center and position Christ there instead. Through Scripture, we see how God consistently chooses the foolish, weak, and despised to accomplish His purposes, reminding us that the Bible contains only one hero—Jesus—while the rest are ordinary people like us. The teaching walks through Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, showing how the righteous engage with anger, lust, marriage, enemies, and generosity not from a place of self-centeredness, but from Christ-centeredness. When we understand that we've been bought with a price and no longer belong to ourselves, that reality changes everything.
