Words Of Eternal Life
When Jesus declared himself the bread of life and spoke of eating his flesh and drinking his blood, many disciples walked away offended. But Peter's response cuts to the heart of faith: 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.' Even when we don't fully understand everything in Scripture, there's something undeniably life-giving about positioning ourselves in God's presence and Word. We're reminded that the world constantly tries to pull us toward counterfeit sources of life, but true abundance is found only in Christ. The challenge isn't just to read Scripture, but to meditate on it, muse over it, let it shape our thoughts throughout the day. This positioning isn't passive; it's an active choice to root ourselves where life flows, even when circumstances are difficult, even when we're surrounded by groaning and struggle. The righteous know where to find life, and that knowledge transforms everything.
