Discover the many ways you can serve and get involved at Gateway Church

Missions: For those interested in missions, there are two ways you can serve. You can “go” or you can “give”.

Each year we take a group, during the summer, to be a blessing in a foreign country by spreading the love of Jesus. All are welcome to join this team. However, if you are unable to attend, another way that would help benefit the team is to financially give towards this cause.

In the summer of 2019, Gateway  headed to Ecuador and took a VBS and medical team to reach out and spread the good news to the people.

We’re excited to announce that Gateway is heading to Costa Rica soon! We are taking a medical team and others to serve the communities there.

Last summer of 2018, Gateway went to Guatemala.  Our crew blessed  treasures with a VBS art camp, bunk beds, prayer walks and meals. We also had a medical team go with us!

The Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP), began operations on March 5, 1984 in response to the unheeded cry of the many women, children and men who are in desperate need of emergency housing and associated services.

Gateway takes the SHIP mobile kitchen into North Plainfield once a month.  There they distribute hot food and hope for those in need.

New York City Relief compassionately serves the struggling and homeless by offering hope and resources that lead toward life transformation. Gateway Church partners with the Relief Bus once a month.  We go with them into Newark to meet immediate needs with soup, bread, hygiene kits, socks & prayer — but the ultimate goal is to lead our guests into a Life Care Visit. Here, they meet long-term needs with shelter, detox, rehab, or job programs, and then introduce our guest to our Follow-Up Care Team.

Visions and Pathways has helped abused, neglected, homeless, missing and at-risk youth since 1970. They help them put the pieces back together, build their self-esteem and acquire the skills they need to thrive by providing; food, housing, counseling, education assistance, arts and recreation activities, career and employment counseling, scholarships and financial literacy instruction.

Gateway Church has partnered with V&P on several projects. We’ve provided several breakfasts for the kids residing at Brahma House. In the fall of 2019, we secured donations from Sherwin-Williams for 30 gallons of paint. We spent several Saturdays painting the living and office spaces of Brahma House.
