“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
The Bible talks about “first fruits.” Simply stated, if something is important, we should do it first. Consider making your offering a “first-fruits offering” by setting up recurring gifts to the church online. You still track and budget around your giving, but you’ll know that no matter what else is going on that returning the tithe to God is a priority in your life.
You work hard for your money. So maybe for you, like many others, the idea of tithing (giving the first 10% of our income to the Church) seems overwhelming. Here’s the good news… it doesn’t matter how much, or how little we make, God promises to pour out blessings on us when we tithe.
Tithing is about training our hearts to trust God at His word. When we bring our first and best back to God, He promises to bless the rest. We can’t out give God. In fact, this is the only area where God tells us to test Him…
When you Automate the Important, you are being intentional about being faithful and you are a pacesetter.
